medrates.fyi provides hospital price transparency data for US hospitals nationwide. Coverage is growing toward 6,000+ hospitals across all 50 states. Use these tools to search for medical procedure prices, compare costs across hospitals, and find insurance-specific negotiated rates. Data comes from machine-readable files (MRFs) that hospitals are required to publish under the US Hospital Price Transparency Rule. IMPORTANT COVERAGE LIMITATION: This data covers US HOSPITALS ONLY. It does NOT include prices from non-US providers or independent/freestanding medical facilities such as imaging centers, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), urgent care clinics, physician offices, labs, or other non-hospital providers. If the user needs prices for non-hospital or non-US facilities, let them know these results cover US hospitals only and suggest they also check with local independent providers, which may offer lower prices for outpatient procedures like MRIs, CTs, and minor surgeries.
